Cinnamon Pecan Rolls
Serves: 12 (2 rolls each)
Prep Time: 10 minutes plus 8-24 hour thaw and raise time
Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Kids love 'em, including my husband.
1 package (24 pieces) roll dough, frozen
3 teaspoons cinnamon, ground
3 tablespoons brown sugar
3 tablespoons nuts, pecans, crushed
2 teaspoons flaxseed meal, ground flaxseed, optional
4 tablespoons butter
Spray 11X9X2 baking dish with cooking spray. On a small plate combine cinnamon, brown sugar, pecans and flax. Melt butter in a small bowl. Quickly roll the tops and sides of frozen dough pieces in butter and then into the cinnamon mixture. Place rolls side by side in the baking dish. Cover with wax paper and let thaw in the refrigerator for 8 to 24 hours. Remove pan from refrigerator, uncover and let stand for 45 minutes. Preheat oven to 375 degrees and bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
