Nana's Quick Broiled Tomatoes

These are fast, easy and delicious. Nana Martz says to turn off the broiler and leave the tomatoes in the oven until ready to serve if you want them softer!

Ingredients

4 tomato(es), medium, halved

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper, black, ground

2 tablespoons brown sugar

2 slices bacon, precooked and reduced sodium, minced

4 tablespoons bread crumbs, Italian herb flavored, grated or shaved

Preparation

Place tomatoes cut side up in a baking dish. Divide and sprinkle each half with salt, pepper and then bacon. Sprinkle with brown sugar and then breadcrumbs. Top with parmesan cheese. Broil for 5 to 7 minutes or until slightly browned. Serve.
