Green Chile Cheese Bread

This is a simple appetizer or side to serve with a soup or salad.
1 baguette of French Bread, 9 ounces
1 1/2 cups cheese, jack or Mexican blend, shredded
4 ounces green chilies, mild in can already chopped
1/4 cup mayonnaise, light or reduced fat
1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
Mix the cheese, chilies and mayonnaise and parmesan in a small bowl. Cut the baguette in half lengthwise. Spread the cheese mixture evenly over the top of each half. Place on a baking sheet and bake at 400 degrees for about 8 minutes until cheese is bubbly and bread is slightly crisp. Slice into 12 pieces total and serve warm.
